Full Job Description:
- LAUNDRY STAFF
- GENERAL PURPOSE: Provide laundry services for campers on an as needed basis for clothing/ bedding that becomes soiled. Provide routine laundry services for staff though out the summer
- SUPERVISORY AND OTHER CONTACTS: This position reports to the Camp Manger and Assistant Camp Manager
- TARGET OUTCOMES/MEASURES OF SUCCESS: Camper, family and other related outside agencies satisfaction with the cleanliness and tidiness of dorms, facilities, and service. Increased attraction of campers and staff. Cost effective use of resources
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain quality control standards at work site to ensure compliance with state licensing and operating standards
- Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of laundry equipment
- Observe safety rules and use safety equipment provided
- Report safety and maintenance concerns to Camp Manger and Assistant Camp Manager
- Perform cleaning and organization of work area to ensure camper and staff belongings are returned to the appropriate person
- Additional duties and responsibilities as needed
- Represents Oak Hill Camps and Recreation in a positive and professional manner when interacting with campers, coworkers, families, and others; ensure that all actions, activities, and decisions are aligned with Oak Hills vision and values; creates a welcoming, person-centered environment
- Stock various work areas to ensure work sites are functional and efficient
*QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma/ GED, ability to work independently, ability to interact well with others/ good interpersonal skills, related experience
Preferred Requirements: Six months or more experience working at a camp, school, hotel or similar service setting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The laundry staff role is one in which individuals may interact with people at all levels, community members, licensees, paretns/ guardians in a visible, demanding, regulated, policy and procedurally driven environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Residential summer camp setting working both indoors and outdoors with exposure to the sun, heat, cold, rain, wind, wild animals and insects, and the potential for severe weather events such as thunderstorms. Moderate to high noise levels and exposure to cleaning chemicals and mold
