1.      Community Action Agency of New Haven (CAANH) offers free tax preparation via the IRA certified VITA (Voluntary Income Tax Assistance) program.  Please see the attached flier for information on dates, times and contact information.  We are staying open until 8pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through  April 9^th to accommodate working schedules. 

2.     CAANH continues to offer enrollment for health care insurance to anyone who is interested in signing up.  The deadline to enroll if you wish to have health care insurance in 2014 is by March 31^st!  There will be an information session / enrollment on Saturday, February 15^th from 10a – 2p at CAANH offices located at 419 Whalley Ave in New Haven. 

However, appointments to enroll can be made ANY TIME Monday thru Friday, 9a to 5p during our regular working hours. General purpose -- The primary purpose of this position is to greet and assist customers, park their vehicle, and be a visible representative of the establishment we provide services for. After parking the vehicle, the attendant will run back to their station and be prepared to assist the next patron.


Minimum Requirements: -- All Valet Attendants are required to:

* Be able to drive a standard transmission vehicle to the satisfaction of management

* Have your own transportation (driving experience)

* Have experience working in customer service

* Be over the age of 18 (due to laws about operating heavy machinery)

* Must have either a High School Diploma or GED

* License(s) required -- The general Valet Attendant position requires a valid Class D license to operate a motor vehicle. This license must have been held for at least one year prior to applying.

Physical demands

* Standing at least 8 hours a day
