Full Job Description
Provide hardware, software and network support for Avidex
products. Works with Level 2 and Level 3 Support Technicians to
troubleshoot and repair systems and equipment including computers,
servers, and hardware. Monitors dashboard daily for IPTV (Internet
Protocol Television) and other Avidex products. Assist in use of the
Interactive platform, both patient education and entertainment product
when applicable. Inform the patients about the various elements of the
system so that they may be able to navigate on their own and determine
their own level of utilization. Develops and maintains strong customer
relationships by responding to customers within required response times,
keeping customers informed of resolution path and verifying with
customers complete resolution of reported issues.
- High School or GED diploma.
- The physical demands of the job require the ability to lift 30-40 pounds (televisions and other equipment), and climb a 6 foot ladder, on a daily basis; and be able to bend, squat, reach, stoop, and walk 80%-90% of the day.
- Should be a mechanical ability to use tools like screwdrivers and drills.
- Must be patient and an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, to work with non-technical people (e.g. patients, patient's family members, nurses, other hospital staff) on technical issues, and have a strong customer service orientation.
- Must also be comfortable working independently and maintain a professional appearance because you'll be working at a client site, Yale New Haven Hospital.
- This is a Regular Part-Time role so there is a normal schedule but may require some flexibility to occasional changes in the schedule with short notice, including holidays and weekends.
- Should be organized, proactive, and a good problem-solver with a "Can Do” attitude who can manage multiple issues simultaneously.
- Must be bondable, highly trustworthy and dependable, have proven detail skills and superior work habits
