A growing artisanal cheese producer is seeking a hands-on Cheesemaker with experience in fresh mozzarella production to join its manufacturing team. Position Summary
The Cheesemaker will support daily fresh mozzarella production and assist across multiple areas of the manufacturing operation. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to product quality, and the flexibility to contribute wherever needed in a smaller production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily production of fresh mozzarella and other fresh cheese products
- Assist with curd handling, stretching, forming, and packaging processes
- Operate and monitor production equipment and automated systems
- Follow recipes, production schedules, and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the production area
- Assist with troubleshooting production or quality issues
- Collaborate with production, quality, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient operations
- Follow GMP, food safety, and sanitation procedures
- Support additional operational tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in cheese, dairy, or food manufacturing production
- Fresh mozzarella or fresh cheese production experience preferred
- Hands-on and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong attention to quality and consistency
- Flexible attitude and willingness to wear multiple hats
- Ability to lift and move materials as required in a manufacturing setting
