ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for compassionate and dependable Residential Program Workers (RPW) to join the teams at one of our 65 Group Homes throughout Connecticut!

This position provides an opportunity to develop skills in patient observation, medication distribution and recreational therapy.

This position is also an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in home and community care settings, including group homes and nursing facilities.

Essential Skills:

  • Compassion and Empathy: Understanding and addressing the emotional and physical needs of individuals with disabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively interacting with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Attention to Detail: Monitoring health status, administering medications, and implementing care plans accurately.
  • Physical Stamina: Assisting with mobility support and daily living activities, which can be physically demanding.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Adapting to various situations and finding solutions to meet clients' needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients' health status.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including specialized care for a variety of intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 18+ Years Old
  • HS Diploma/GED

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per Diem (where available)

Pay: $18.50 - $19.40 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
