Material Handler - 2nd Shift - New Haven, CT (FT)

 Full Job Description:

Perform material handling duties such as product receiving, disbursement, inventory checks, and other basic inventory management functions. 2nd Shift Availability 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Sunday - Thursday.

• Input daily item orders for the hospital. Perform daily stock checks and customer pickups.
• Ensure items are counted, rotated and replenished daily and ensure all procedures are followed.
• Stock and inventory product on carts or within hospital units. Manage par levels on operating room static carts not able to exchange out at Medline.
• Check for compromised products and expired inventory.
• Quality control, moving carts to and from loading docks.
• Picking items/sorting and working with shipping.
• Assist with any customer requests while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Housekeeping duties including all forms of onsite cleanup.

Relevant Work Experience

• 1 – 3 months of related experience and/or training.

Additional

• Must be able to read and communicate in English. Must have basic math skills (addition/subtraction) and strong interpersonal/relationship building skills. Must have a high sense of urgency and be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience working in order fulfillment, picking and packing or shipping and receiving environment.
• Specific machine experience (i.e. the Order Picker and Reach trucks)'
