Seasonal Freight Inspector (FT Temp) - North Haven, CT

Full Job Description:

This fast paced position keeps you engaged for your entire work shift.

• Responsible for inspecting inbound/outbound freight to check if it's accurate, secure, and has the proper paperwork
• Must be able to inspect a variety of freight that comes in and goes out each day
• Records freight condition and handling, accuracy of materials, notifies crews to reload freight or insert additional bracing or packing
• Inspect shipments to ensure that freight is securely braced and blocked
• Establish and maintain effective communication
• Perform other duties as needed

Working Conditions :

• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Exposure to varied weather conditions, exhaust, fumes, and noise in a dock environment

Length of Position: April 2021- November 2021

Pay: Hourly (salary based on experience; along with comprehensive benefits)
