Part-time position working 20 to 25 hours a week for a 10 person professional engineering & land surveying corporation. Hours are flexible.
Should be a dependable individual who is a quick learner & can perform work with limited supervision. Duties include general office work & assisting owner with bookkeeping, financial & human resources administration. Provide general office administration. Maintain company files, answer incoming calls on the main telephone line & greet visitors, monitor & order supplies as needed. Perform other routine office functions as required. Coordinate with the various vendors & suppliers providing services to the company such as office supplies & equipment, field & other supplies for our staff & occasionally our landlord’s property manager. Assist the owner with providing human resources administration for the company. Respond to employee requests for benefit forms & documents. Assist in maintaining employee personnel records a& in processing new hires or terminations. Occasionally contact the various insurance & other benefits providers as directed by the owner. Assist the owner with maintaining the company’s bookkeeping files using the QuickBooks accounting program. Assist with monthly invoicing, preparing bi-weekly A/P & A/R reports, monthly financial reports & processing bill payments for owner’s signature. Occasionally work with company’s payroll processing vendor & private accounting firm.
