Axe Throwing Range Part-Time Technician & Lumber Delivery Driver

Looking for a job that will never get dull? Connecticut's first indoor recreational axe throwing range is hiring!

This is a part-time position with flexible hours. If selected, you will join the Pine & Iron team and help keep our axe throwing ranges in great condition and use your own vehicle to deliver axe throwing boards from local lumber mills to our two locations.

Job responsibilities:

• Pick up lumber from Connecticut lumbermills. Deliver to our Hartford and New Haven locations and prepare them for use.
• Make recommendations for materials to purchase (plywood, dimensional lumber, hardware etc.) based on the needs of the ranges.
• Pick up and deliver materials from local building suppliers (eg Home Depot, Lowes).
• Perform regular maintenance on axe throwing targets and ranges according to company procedures.
• Examples of typical projects would include: replacing plywood sheets behind targets, preparing and replacing 'sacrificial' boards that belong above and below the targets, replacing baseboards etc.

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver's license .
• Must have your own vehicle capable of transporting a minimum of (80) 1.5"x9.25"x48" boards.
• Must be 'handy' and have the ability to operate basic power tools (power drill, miter saw, table saw etc.).
• Must be dependable and responsible.
• Must understand and follow safe work practices.
