Full Job Description:

The Juice Box, located in the heart of Yale, is New Haven's prime location for cold-pressed juices, smoothies, acai bowls, toasts and more!

We are seeking a Back-of-House "Line" Cook Kitchen Staff to join our dedicated kitchen staff! You will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in our professional kitchen.

In our kitchen throughout the day, one can expect some of the following tasks:

- Prepare all served food

- Prepping and cleaning greens and citrus

- Operate our cold-pressed equipment and operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

- Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions

- Following recipes, instructions and special diet orders

- Inspecting orders from distributors to ensure consistency

- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

- Inventorying items to maintain freshness

- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well in teams

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
