Staff Engineer is responsible for preventive maintenance in and around hotel building and grounds as needed with minimal supervision by performing the following duties:
Exhibits competencies in general plumbing, HVAC and electrical repairs
Responds to and completes guest room/staff calls
Performs basic plumbing maintenance such as PVC, CPVC and soldering on pipes, drains and other fixtures
Troubleshoots electrical problems and replaces basic fixtures such as sockets and switches
Receives and comprehends written and verbal instructions and prioritizes assignments accordingly
Organizes and maintains par level inventory of tool and supplies
Operates small hand and electric tools
Repairs interior surfaces such as walls, floors and ceilings
Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of hotel
Repairs carpet, tiles, marble and wood flooring
Demonstrates familiarity of hotel safety systems and takes corrective actions during emergency situations
Repairs clocks, TV's, radios and other small appliances
Repairs and maintains kitchen/laundry equipment
Maintains accurate recordkeeping of daily activities, assigned tasks and preventive maintenance
Performs other duties as assigned
1-3 years of Hotel Engineering experience required. Must be available to work on weekends and holidays!
