MEASURES OF SUCCESS

Down stocking and maintaining set integrity for Central Garden grass seed, chemicals, bird feed, fertilizer and clay pottery

Weekend consumer interaction during peak season (training provided)

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

Previous merchandising experience preferred

Strong communication skills needed to interact with store management and consumers

Strong reading skills needed to understand packaging labels and re-tagging projects

Must be able to bend, pull and lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout the course of a work day

Must be able to climb ladders, use a pallet jack and hand powered tools

Must have a valid driver’s license in the state in which you reside, a good driving record, reliable transportation and proof of current personal car insurance

Must have daily access to internet/email

CAVCOMM, LLC is a full service telecommunications cable installation company specializing in Fiber Optics. With over 30 years of combined experience capable of installation, termination, and testing fiber optic, copper and coaxial cables for both ISP and OSP applications.

Hours: Full-time. Standard hours Monday-Friday

Responsibilities: The Laborer is an entry level position that will provide the right person with the opportunity to learn the many different aspects of the business that includes on the job training for Fiber Telecommunications Lineman and Splicer work.

Essential Functions

  • Assist Field Techs / Warehouse Manager to learn various aspects of work processes
  • Accurately read and interpret engineering and network plan designs in preparation for each job

Kennel Assistant-THE ANIMAL HAVEN -North Haven

The Animal Haven, a no-kill shelter for homeless and abandoned cat and dogs, is looking for a part-time Kennel Assistant whose responsibilties are:

  • Feeding and caring for the cats and dogs at the shelter
  • Cleaning the shelter and all of the animal areas in accordance with the shelter's cleaning protocols
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen, sanitation and laundry rooms
  • Medicating any sick animals as directed by the Shelter Manager and/or Assistant Shelter Manager
  • Walking the dogs
  • Practicing safe animal handling (with respect to the dogs and cats)
  • Bringing animals to and from the vet
