Meat & Seafood Procurement Support Team-Bozzuto's-North Haven

 

Full job description

Position Overview:

As part of the Bozzuto’s Meat & Seafood Support Team you will be responsible for supporting the procurement, sales and merchandising functions. You will be responsible for supporting all follow-up actions regarding the meat buying and sales teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keypunching purchase orders and customer orders accurately
  • Monitoring order status to ensure timely delivery and availability of inventory
  • Assisting in monitoring inventory levels based on meat buyer and sales team needs
  • Coordinating with vendors on product availability, lead times and shipment tracking
  • Coordinating with customers on product needs, weekly sale and or seasonal promotions
  • Reviewing and entering customer orders following intake phone call
  • Maintaining accurate records of purchase orders, vendor agreements and other relevant documentations
  • Interface with accounting and vendors regarding pricing, payment, and deductions issues
  • Collaborate with merchandising and sales to support a teamwork atmosphere.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through entire interactions
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, as needed including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years (2) retail experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge of technological systems such as but not limited to: Microsoft Office, AS400, E-mail, Voice mail etc.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday
  • Standard Business hours
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays base on business needs

Environment:

  • Warehouse Office – approx. 65F – 75F
  • Warehouse Perishable – approx. 26F – 60F

Skills:

  • Physical abilities: Ability to stand, walk and sit throughout your day; Walking on a variety of flooring such as carpet, concrete, tile etc;
  • Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; project management
  • Working in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest quality
  • Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards from all perspectives
  • Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies to all associates; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift
