This position is responsible for operating bag-making machines to safely produce high-quality paper bags in accordance with job safety analyses, production schedules, set-up instructions, operating procedures, and quality specifications.
We currently have open positions on the 2:00 pm—10:30 pm and 10:00 pm—6:30 am shifts, Monday - Friday schedule.
Job Overview:
Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and designated Leads, this position operates a machine that takes in paper, folds it, and glues it to produce bags of various sizes, shapes, and grades. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain machinery in accordance with safety protocols
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure optimal performance
- Perform quality checks on products to maintain high standards
- Troubleshoot issues with machinery and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Follow production schedules and prioritize workload effectively
- Inspect and pack products per customer specifications using safe work practices
- Check all safety guards are in place and properly working at their station
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Complete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & procedures
- Performs quality checks and completes related documentation
- Maintains a clean and safe work area
- Comply with established plant rules and procedures that promote compliance with customer service-related activities
- Following run-order specifications for each product
- Following pre-requisite programs in compliance with SQF Code Manufacture of Food Packaging and food safety requirements
- Following all Good Manufacturing Practices in compliance with all Food Safety Requirements
- Actively engage in value-added activities that enhance our products and processes
- Understand and follow all JSA’s and safety procedures/policies
- Assist other team members as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in a manufacturing or mechanical position
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
- Work overtime as needed
- Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management
- Ability to perform the job’s essential functions with or without accommodation

- Satisfactorily completes mandatory training courses as determined by management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour
