Free Tax Preparation

1.      Community Action Agency of New Haven (CAANH) offers free tax preparation via the IRA certified VITA (Voluntary Income Tax Assistance) program.  Please see the attached flier for information on dates, times and contact information.  We are staying open until 8pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through  April 9^th to accommodate working schedules. 

2.     CAANH continues to offer enrollment for health care insurance to anyone who is interested in signing up.  The deadline to enroll if you wish to have health care insurance in 2014 is by March 31^st!  There will be an information session / enrollment on Saturday, February 15^th from 10a – 2p at CAANH offices located at 419 Whalley Ave in New Haven. 

However, appointments to enroll can be made ANY TIME Monday thru Friday, 9a to 5p during our regular working hours. To schedule an enrollment, please call our special enrollment number at 203-387-7700 X193, and someone will return the call.   Attached is a flier with information about the health care insurance AND what to bring for your enrollment.
