Overview

Elderly Housing Management is seeking an experienced Compliance Assistant to support regulatory compliance across our affordable housing portfolio. This role works directly with the Director of Compliance and Housing Management teams to track audits, inspections, training, and documentation, ensuring properties remain in compliance with federal and program requirements.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on affordable housing experience who is organized, detail-focused, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule, track, and support quality control reviews, audits, inspections, and file reviews across the EHM portfolio
  • Manage and track HUD 2530 submissions and related documentation
  • Support compliance training coordination and documentation
  • Provide day-to-day compliance and technical support to Housing Management staff
  • Maintain regulatory files, forms, and compliance documentation in shared systems
  • Assist with inspection mitigation submissions and follow-up tracking
  • Support trend tracking and follow-up related to audit and review findings
  • Provide backup support during regulatory and internal compliance reviews

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or COS/LIHTC certification preferred
  • Minimum of three years of affordable housing compliance or property management experience
  • Strong knowledge of HUD programs (PRAC, Section 202/8), USDA-RD, HOME, LIHTC
  • Working knowledge of HUD systems (TRACS, EIV, Secure Systems)
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
