The position of Prep Cook requires the candidate to learn and understand all aspects of the kitchen regarding food preparation, dietary guidelines and sanitation. The Prep Cook must be aware of time demands necessary when serving guests while adhering to ServSafe training. The Prep Cook will be required to work varying hours throughout a five day work week (Monday-Friday), excluding holidays, and be prepared for work at scheduled times.
The Prep Cook should have the ability to follow direction from the Executive Chef and Assistant Chef without reinterpretation. All tasks assigned must be completed within the given time frame.
Anticipated Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM -1:00 PM (Must be flexible)
Essential Job Functions:
Prepare daily food preparation tasks
Assist in stocking/organizing received orders, taking FIFO into consideration
Maintain sanitation and personal hygiene at all times
Assist in kitchen clean up at the end of each shift
Adhere to dietary guidelines set as standard by the Executive Chef

A Garden Style Apartment Community in the greater New Haven area is currently seeking a skilled Porter/Maintenance person to join our team.
Summary: Responsible for painting, cleaning and light maintenance for an apartment turn. Maintains the grounds and exterior of property in an attractive and safe condition, and to maximize curb appeal according to training guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Understand and follow daily work instructions according to the work schedule, and apply sound judgment to operate equipment safely as well as prevent problems.
2. Apply proper construction and maintenance techniques and ability to use power and hand tools to perform repairs/ maintenance/renovation including:
a. Installing Vinyl floor covering
b. Cleaning through out (including carpets)
c. Caulking
d. Countertops and cabinets
e. Window screens and blinds
f. Interior and exterior doors
k. Minor drywall damage
l. Sub-flooring, insulation, wall studs and floor joists
m. Gutters, down spouts

3. Assists with upkeep of the common areas and entranceways of the property buildings.
4. Maintain structural integrity of buildings by performing exterior building maintenance such as painting, and cleaning gutters and downspouts.
5. Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order by performing minor maintenance as needed.
6. Utilize safety equipment and gear in a proper manner.
7. Perform snow removal duties as necessary. Work overtime when required to ensure all snow is removed in accordance with state statues.
8. Communicate equipment problems or malfunctions to management immediately.
10. Operate company vehicle in a safe manner to perform errands and transport materials if required by property.
11. Follow company rules and procedures as set forth in training sessions, manuals and guidelines.
12. Maintains pool area to ensure clean and safe area for residents.
13. Reports any property damage, lease violations, and any items that may need to be fixed to management.
14. Hand delivers items, flyers, letters and other correspondence when requested.
15. Perform other related duties as assigned.
