- Laundry Aide

- Part-Time 24 hours 6a-2p

*MAJOR PURPOSE: Responsible for performing routine tasks to ensure that the facility has an adequate supply of clean linens and that the residents' personal belongings are well-maintained.

*QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Preferably a high school graduate or equivalent.

2. Ability to read, write and comprehend English; ability to follow oral and written instructions.

3. Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers and facility staff in the performance of duties.

4. Ability to observe proper safety and sanitary techniques.

5. Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position/assignment.

*PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

1. Loads and unloads commercial-type dryers.

2. Sort linens and personal garments as required.

3. Folds towels, sheets, pillowcases, and other facility linens as required.

4. Keeps folding room and laundry area in neat and clean condition.

5. Operates as necessary, the washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment.

6. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
