Warehouse Helper/Laborer-CAVCOMM LLC-North Haven

Position Title: Warehouse Helper/Laborer

Hours: Full-time. Standard hours Monday-Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM

Responsibilities: The Warehouse Helper/Laborer is an entry level position that will provide the right person with the opportunity to learn the many distinct aspects of the business that includes on the job training for Fiber Telecommunications, to support the day-to-day operations and fiber construction projects, assisting the Warehouse Manager to ensure cost effective and efficient operations through provisioning of materials in the most cost-effective manner. Maintain and manage accurate records of all in-house materials as well as Customer Supplied Inventory. Other duties and responsibilities may be required and/or assigned. 

Essential Functions

• Provide general labor support as needed

• Maintain a safe and clean workspace

• General tasks around job sites

• Provide proper allocation of materials/inventory among operations and project activities 

• Comply with all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations 

• Maintains physical condition of warehouse, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for equipment repairs 

• Proper use of equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, to move inventory. 

• Secure all doors to the entry of the warehouse 

• Some local travel required as needed 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements

• High School Diploma.

• Prior experience in a manual labor environment preferred but not required.

• Must have the ability to read and comprehend basic verbal and written instructions.

• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

• Be dependable with respect to attendance and tardiness.

• Will be required to own and wear safety toed footwear on job sites.
• Pre-employment Background check and drug screening required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Experience:

• Construction & Extraction Occupations: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
