Job Summary
A Customer Service Representative Position is a key position within the New Haven Bank. This person will be responsible for building, and preserving strong banking relationships with customers as well as providing superior customer service while ensuring daily branch responsibilities are being completed efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in daily branch opening and closing
- Open new accounts while obtaining all necessary information and documentation
- Cross-sell bank products and services by understanding the diverse needs of each customer and building strong rapport
- Provide superior customer service, including but not limited to: answering phones, greeting customers in lobby, evaluating each customer's specific needs, quickly and efficiently processing teller transactions
- Assist Head Teller and Branch Manager with balancing of vault and ATMs
- Assist other branch personnel/perform other duties, as required
- Ensure adherence to Bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrate effective, prudent decision making and problem-solving skills
- Perform related duties as may be germane to your role and essential to the ongoing success of the Bank
Requirements
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of prior banking or cash handling experience
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
- Must be detail-oriented and an effective team-player
- Ability to adapt to changing job requirements
- Must be willing to work alternating shifts including Saturdays
