Survey Technicians are responsible for collecting data along telecommunication routes while using specialized industry devices. Thorough training is provided to all new hires, and opportunities for advancement are available for top performers. No prior experience is necessary.
Position is mainly local to Connecticut with the schedule being 4 days on 4 days off. Interstate travel may be required, when assigned this will be on a 4 week on/ 2 week off schedule.
Job Responsibilities for Survey Technician position
- Walking telecommunications routes through rural and urban areas
- Utilizing various applications/software for communication, shift assignment, and data collection
- Completing assigned data collection quotas along designated telecommunication routes using IKE and other equipment/technology
- Uploading collected telecommunication data at the end of the shift via Wi-Fi.
- When travelling, arriving for scheduled bookings on the first day of shift (travel plan, hotels, rentals)
- Attending daily crew meetings to review assigned jobs and maps for the day and end-of-shift meetings to review progress on assigned jobs
- Must have cell phone with data service
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements for Survey Technician position
- Must be at least 25 years of age and up
- Reliable vehicle for work- must use personal vehicle for work
- Must be capable to walk/hike/trek, through any terrain, 10+ miles a day and meet specific daily requirements
- Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions and environments
- Work in areas in which you are exposed to local wildlife, dogs, and people
- All new hires must complete a 10 hour OSHA Certification online.
- Required to pass a 10 panel plus drug test
- Occasional Travel Schedule 4 weeks on 2 weeks off based on business needs
- Willingness to travel interstate during Monday-Friday shift schedule and open to change in work schedule after 4 months, as needed
