The Animal Haven, a no-kill shelter for homeless and abandoned cat and dogs, is looking for a part-time Kennel Assistant whose responsibilties are:
- Feeding and caring for the cats and dogs at the shelter
- Cleaning the shelter and all of the animal areas in accordance with the shelter's cleaning protocols
- Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen, sanitation and laundry rooms
- Medicating any sick animals as directed by the Shelter Manager and/or Assistant Shelter Manager
- Walking the dogs
- Practicing safe animal handling (with respect to the dogs and cats)
- Bringing animals to and from the vet
- Following the work schedule as posted and maintaining accurate time records
Must love animals and must be able to work BOTH morning and evening shifts, Saturdays, Sundays and some holidays
Must be 21+ years old
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
