Full Job Description:
Performs work under supervision of team lead or Planning & Production Supervisor. We are looking for a Material Handler/Sub Assembler to help deliver work kits to our production cells and help to maintain production inventory. Your job will be to prepare and deliver kits on a schedule diligently and correctly so we can provide high-quality customer service to our employees. The main material handler duties revolve around placing incoming orders on shelves and picking merchandise according to specific scheduling requirements. As a Material Handler, you’ll monitor inventory and communicate any shortages. You should have great attention to detail to maintain accurate records. Responsibilities:
- Reads and interprets instructions, assembles sub-assembly parts and fits components together.
- Performs manual and clerical duties associated with materials management, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials and supplies.
- Compares inventory records with physical counts of stock to ensure accuracy, reporting discrepancies when they arise.
- Completes paperwork or forms required for documentation.
- Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Become familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement as it is practiced within the organization.
- Participate in 5S activities, keeping team’s assigned work cells and other assigned areas neat and clean.
Job Type: Full-time
