*Two Guys from Woodbridge is an 11,000 square ft organic hydroponic greenhouse growing leafy greens, microgreens, herbs, and edible flowers. We distribute our produce at storefronts in CT and farmers' markets in CT and NYC. We have a passion for food, our environment, and growing high-quality produce. Our challenge is to create a farm next door where consumers and restaurants can enjoy superior produce picked from the farm on the same day. We use state-of-the-art indoor farming techniques to produce leafy greens that are fresh and delicious. We value respect, integrity, consistency, and creating an inviting work environment.
*Overview of Responsibilities:
- As a farmer's market associate, you are the face of the company. The farmers market associate is responsible for the quick, accurate, and efficient process of each customer's order while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. Our farmers market associate is responsible for driving and attending farmer's markets in CT and possibly NYC. The farmers market associate may also deliver our products to different storefronts in CT. If you have any experience in a greenhouse or hydroponics, that is a plus but can be taught.
*Job responsibilities:
- Accurately handling customer cash, credit/debit payments, and making change.
- Assist customers by providing information and resolving complaints
- Setting up the farmer's market tent, tables, containers, and display
- Restocking inventory throughout the market
- Breaking down the farmers market setup
- Able to communicate effectively with the market manager
- Drive the van to and from market
Looking for someone who
- Has a genuine love for farmer's markets and our products.
- Has an outgoing, team-oriented, and friendly behavior, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact with our customers.
- Is dependable and reliable, having the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes, including weekends and holidays.
- Has good communication skills; the ability to take direction/constructive criticism, and participate in a team environment.
- Can perform repetitive activities and multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
- Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and great driver's record
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Have 1-2 years of customer service (preferred)
- Ability to lift 25-50lbs. without difficulty, set up the market tent, coolers, and tables.
- Ability to kneel, bend, twist, and stand during shift.
- Requires strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers; cash handling and mathematical skills; ability to read, write and count.
Typical hours: Days range depending on season and markets open. Days run from Wednesday to Sunday. Work may require early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
