Full Job Description:

Pack Leader: As a Pack Leader you will be responsible for overseeing the play-yard for our furry friends by creating a safe, fun, and clean environment. You will also be responsible for warmly greeting customers bringing animals for day care or boarding, answering the phone and emails, selling and booking our services, and most importantly, loving animals.

Job Type: Part-time, Full-time *** We do work with school schedules.
Hours per week:

• 10-19
• 20-29
• 30-39

Salary: $12 /hour with set increases based on time at Paw Haven.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Play and engage with our furry friends in the play-yard and clean up after them. Demonstrate a positive, fun attitude with pets and pet owners.
• Monitor and maintain control of large groups of dogs during doggy daycare.
• Ensure a clean and sanitary facility by completing various cleaning duties throughout the facility in a timely fashion.
• Ensure the safety of all of our animals by following operations policies in place.
• Feed dogs and cats by following feeding instructions provided by pet owners.
• Communicate effectively with peers and leadership and take direction from the Manager by creating a safe, fun, and clean environment.
• Ability to occasionally work a marketing event positively representing Paw Haven.

Job Requirements:

• Extremely energetic, outgoing, upbeat with a positive personality.
• Must be able to work at a fast pace, in a team environment, and have exceptional customer service skills both in person and on the phone.
• Must be tech savvy including the ability to use Outlook email, post on social media outlets including Instagram, and become competent using out point of sale system.
• Must love animals- the barks, the hair, the messes, and of course the puppy kisses.
• Provide all dogs and cats with kindness and respect at all times.
• Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, stoop and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Be comfortable around dogs of all sizes and temperaments in an open play environment.
• Boast a client-centric mindset: be able to build and maintain client relationships with both pet owners and pets to maximize return customers. Always put the customer first.
• Be passionate for the care of dogs and cats including their health and safety.
• Hold a strong work ethic.
• Have access to reliable means of transportation – be punctual.
• Previous pet care or animal experience is a plus.
• Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum age requirement 18+ years old.
• ***Must be able to work Weekends and Holidays!! Our hours of operation are from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. We are open 365 days a year. Flexible employees may become eligible for full time employment.
