Job Location: (New Haven BR5) - New Haven, CT        Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $17.00 - $20.00 Hourly        Job Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm

We are looking for a motivated, energetic individual to join our branch operations team. The right candidate is a well-rounded team player who enjoys a dynamic role that entails driving, warehouse operation duties and sometimes help the counter sales team!

Shift is Monday to Friday, Days, no weekends!

Main Responsibilities:

• Use company pick-up truck to deliver materials to our customers, or transfers to other Torrco branches which may include assistance with loading and unloading product to and from premises with use of safety equipment.
• Unload receiving truck coming from Torrco HQ, check in merchandise & put away in warehouse.
• Pull order from warehouse for customers as needed.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any problems or issues to supervisor.
• Comply with DOT and company policies and procedures regarding vehicle operation.
• Wear the proper safety equipment, help maintain branch warehouse organized.
• Work in supporting sales team's needs.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, free of accidents.
• Must have valid DOT Medical or ability to pass DOT Physical.
• Must be dependable, have reliable attendance and be a team player.
• Must be able to adapt to various work situations and behave professionally under any circumstance.
• Excellent communication/customer service skills.
• Must have a desire to learn and grow with the company.

Physical demands:

• Position involves standing and/or sitting for long periods of time, manual dexterity, stooping, bending.
• Use safety equipment to move product that can be up to 200 lbs.
