Full Job Description:
The Environmental Services Aide I cleans patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, and other areas of the Hospital by performing the following duties:
- Washes beds and mattresses, and re-makes beds after dismissal of patients
- Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies
- Dusts furniture and equipment
- Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
- Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans and transports trash and waste to disposal area
- May be required to operate hospital vehicle to perform duties on campus and in hospital outpatient locations
- Performs other task and duties, as assigned or required
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Current and valid CT driver's license required, if required to drive hospital vehicles
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hr. position Monday thru Friday every other weekend and holiday
