Our busy, growing gym is in need of a Front Desk Associate to take to the position of being our gym's administrative champion! You are: Professional, Attentive to Detail, Supportive, and a Firm Communicator. Responsibilities include taking on checking members in & out of class or sessions, offering a supportive word to our members & staff, keeping records but also welcoming new business and being a brand ambassador for our lively gym! The Right Candidate’s willing and able to be:

-Responsible for ensuring a positive customer/community experience
-Works well with adults & children.
-Arrives on time, prepared and attentive for training appointments.
-Encourages teammates and members alike to work with each other and towards their individual goals, follow industry safety standards and strive to achieve goals.
-Represents and promotes Elephant in the Room in a professional manner.
-Maintains a high level of professionalism with the ability to motivate others while
upholding EIR’s vision, mission, values and code of conduct.

Qualifications:

-Strong interpersonal and rapport building communication skills.
-Able to generate, maintain and demonstrate a friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
-Possess a strong customer service focus. Responds professionally to requests and inquiries from guests, members and staff.
-Understands and follows oral and written instructions. Communicates clearly and concisely.
-Must have excellent customer service and computer skills.

Tasks Include:

-Greeting members warmly and with alacrity
-Managing the membership application process and following up with members/prospective members
-Checking clients In & out of our CRM system
-Creating new customer profiles and key tags for new members
-Managing all equipment and supply, inventory and purchases

-Participating in team meetings, customer happiness reviews & assisting events

Physical Requirements:

Physical effort required for daily duties include sitting, bending, reaching, squatting & prolonged standing and walking. Must be able to frequently lift and /or move up to 35 pounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Benefits: Professional development assistance

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay: Commission pay

We've specific protocols in place for the current state of affairs and would take consideration in discussing on site. Cooperation on all parts is a necessity to this position and future progress.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • New Haven, CT 06519: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
